Newly-converted in 2022, Bage Mine Barn is a luxurious holiday home with a hot tub and tremendous views across the valley over Bolehill and Wirksworth. With 3 double bedrooms (one with additional single sofa bed) and a double sofa bed in the lounge, this home sleeps up to 9 people comfortably. Outside, there is a substantial raised terrace, a separate outdoor dining area with fire pit, the magnificent hot tub (sheltered under a permanent gazebo), lawn and parking for 6+ cars.

Bolehill is located at the northern edge of Wirksworth – a historic market town which is now a vibrant arts hub and Fair Trade town. From the Barn, there are walks aplenty locally and the High Peak Trail is less than half a mile away, with off-road walking and cycling to Cromford in the east and Buxton, over 15 miles to the north-west.

Wirksworth has an independent cinema, great pubs (our favourite in the whole wide world is the Feather Star at the Red Lion), Umami world food restaurant in the same building and lots of other great real ale traditional pubs. The town has a growing, thriving independent retail trade plus butchers, greengrocers and The Rhubarb Kitchen for splendid events catering and in-home chef experiences. The Ecclesbourne Valley Steam Railway is headquartered in the town.

Carsington Water, Chatsworth House and the market towns of Matlock, Bakewell, Belper, Buxton and Ashbourne are all just a short drive away.
